What is useful amber oil?

The uniqueness and value of amber oil lies in the fact that it can only be obtained from natural amber, a mineral of organogenic origin. Why organogenic? Because, unlike minerals of inorganic nature (agate, quartz, malachite, jade, carnelian, etc.), amber is a fossilized fossil resin, or rather, hardened resin of coniferous trees of the Upper Cretaceous and Paleogene periods. Thus, scientific research has established that the age of Baltic amber is 45-50 million years. And the largest amber deposit in the world (more than 90% of the total world reserves) is located in the Kaliningrad region on the southeastern coast of the Baltic Sea. But that doesn’t mean there’s a lot of it.

Amber is a rare beautiful mineral, at all times valued very dearly, along with gold and gems. It was considered a truly royal gift to give a person a real piece of amber, a small sun in the palm of your hand, an amulet and a talisman of great power!

About resin, we know that in early spring, after the winter cold, trees emit a viscous, odorous resin in places of damage. It protects against pests and restores the tree very quickly, thanks to its powerful wound healing and bactericidal properties.
It is no coincidence that in the language of symbols the word “Sap” – personifies vitality.
“Living Water”, “Sap” – that which animates, brings Life!

From here, the healing properties of amber, the “solar stone”, the protector and healer, which absorbed the energy of the earth and the sun, the mighty giant trees that lived on the planet millions of years ago, become more understandable.

Amber oil is obtained from amber in the process of dry sublimation at very high temperatures. This produces amber oil, succinic acid and succinic rosin. The oil has a special resinous, tart, woody aroma and can be stored for a very long time, a thousand or more years.
